The temples of Khajuraho (est. during 950 to 1050 AD) have been listed as UNESCO world heritage sites in India. History says, during the Chandela dynasty, this unparallel temple was established which shows India’s rich culture, architectural splendor and erotic postures on the walls. During your trip to Madhya Pradesh, you should ensure you take a halt for 2-3 days and explore every inch of this masterpiece.

The Khajuraho Group of Temples (East, West and on South) scattered over an area of 20 sq. km features 85 unique temples (out of which only 20 remains). These 12th century’s sculptures mostly consists of daily lives and symbolic value of Indian culture, while the rest 10% shows erotic arts.
The Jain temples (est. 800-1000 years ago) are other prominent places to visit in Khajuraho. The Panna Diamond Mines, Pandv Falls, Raneh falls and Ken Ghariyan Sanctuary are some places very close to the spot.
You can also plan your trip to Panna National Park (44km), Maihar (140km), Rewa (166km), Katni (170km) or to Chitrkoot or Jhansi (175km). However, plan you stay in good Hotels in Khajuraho if you are traveling during peak season.
How to reach
The Khajuraho Airport and Rail station (KURJ) connects the place with various part of the country. You can drive to the place from Jabalpur, Katni, Panna, Kulpahar (90km) etc. Delux and Volvo buses are available for inter city connectivity.
