Baddi is a small but very attention grabbing industrial town located in the southwest part of the Solan District of Himachal Pradesh. This well maintained and designed town/ Nagar Panchayat is located on the Shivalik Hills. However, the best part of the town is that it shares a border of both Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.

Though Baddi is mainly recognized as an industrial town or business center, yet there are myriad of places close to the town where you can enjoy your vacation in luxurious Baddi Hotels. The town located only 40km from Chandigarh on the NH 21A (on the Manali route), can come here to enjoy Timber Trail-cable car in Parwanoo, which is only 30km away from the said location.
Besides having some major Gurdwaras, the place also boosts for having Siuswan Dam (15km). This is a mesmerizing bird watching spot too. However, Kalka and Nalagarh are quite close and can offer you some good views. Ropar (38km) is a very popular religious destination, while Swarghat (46km) is a perfect spot to stop you car on Chandigarh-Manali Highway to glimpse the pristine nature. Also, Kasauli, Morni Hills and Solar are quite close and can be your next adventure destinations.
Lodging and other facilities
Reaching Baddi is possible from Chandigarh Airport (40km), while the Shimla airport is only 113km away. You can take train till Kalka Railway stop (30km) and travel the rest distance on cab/ bus. However, proper National and State highways are there that connects Baddi from other locations.
